Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

I see a few reviewers reference the previous place, which I ordered pick up the day I moved in here in April of 2008... so I have no lingering nostalgia either way! I was out running errands and shopping, and decided to stop. The lot was empty, except for what appeared to be employees cars. There was one couple in there eating when I arrived on a Saturday night at 6:30pm. A young woman was sweeping the floor when I walked in, and met me at the register. I asked for 2 slices (she asked if they had any up since there was none out in the case), and they had a special that included a fountain drink, and I asked if I could have a bottle of water instead (I do not drink caffeine and normally do not drink soda). I was willing to pay an upcharge, but apparently no one has asked that before, so I told her to not worry about it, I would do a soda and get a root beer. She advised me the cups were on the shelf next to the register, to help myself. A weird set up, especially since I had to step around the very large pile of sweeping dirt, but that is okay. Got a cup, figured out the lid location, and got my drink. When she let me know my slices were ready, she brought them to me in a take out box. I advised her that was okay, but I had planned to eat there. I opened the box... and the slices were HUGE! And the crust was super, super thin, just like I really prefer it. Decent cheese, and an okay amount. It was okay pizza, and it and the soda was $4.50. I would stop by again, I think either my newness to the place,or interrupting the sweeping caused communication to break down as a couple came in after me, and she seated them, waited on them at the table, etc. I would like to order again, and maybe do an extra cheese on their gluten free crust and see what that is like... or possibly a Calzone. Definitely worth another try. I did see they sometimes have a buffet as well.

This place is close to our house, so we come here often. Our daughter enjoys the gluten free veggie pizza. The "best kept secret" is to order a small calzone - or Stromboli - definitely enlighten for two. The crust is perfect and the smell of garlic fills the air.

This is the old My Place. Lots of memories. Food portions were large. I thought the sauce for the chicken tenders wasn't good, but that's the only complaint. You do sit down, and they take your order --- which is a little different for what I still think of as a "pizza place". Try it out. Haven't had the Za yet.

I have traveled a ton, and haven't come by a place like this! Places in our area are good, but this place, Bellissimo!! The rolls are like south Philly and the pizzas are better than New Jersey!the sauce is like my Nonna's own. But if you are looking for something different, they have a white pizza, with chicken and sun-dried tomatoes... Add spinach, and that's one amazing pizza. The owner and his team are very friendly and caring. Sean, the proprietor, comes around to talk and joke with the customers. He seems to care about their opinions. Everyone else is extremely friendly and outgoing! Great crew! Got a customer for life!

Hot subs, quesadillas and tater skins are the highlights of this place. The pizza is alright, definitely not lacking cheese. Likewise with the wings, not bad but not at all memorable either. Although they could use a little more meat, the quesadillas are tasty and come with jalapenos no less! Grab some and a Cheeseburger Sub and eat like a Boss.

This is about the best pizza we have ever had! It has some of the best flavor we have ever tasted as well, The cheese is incredibly awesome, awesome, it can get a little greasy but that's what happens when the cheese is not made of plastic. As far as pizza Philly cheesesteaks and subs this is our favorite place to go out and eat now.

I've been watching a crew renovate the old My Place restaurant in Hampden Township off the pike everyday for a few months. I saw it was open last week for the first time so had to pop in for dinner to try. The inside is nicely redone, very open and clean and nicely decorated. We ordered a large pepperoni pizza, which is our typical benchmark for trying a new pizza joint. The pizza was cooked relatively fast... My first recommendation would be to wait a few minutes for the cheese to set. The slices were hard to serve with the hot cheese slipping off. It was very very greasy, which pretty much ispart of the definition of pepperoni pizza...but seemed extra greasy. I dobbed mine with napkins to get the excess off...ok so it helped with my conscious since I literally had just finished a pilates class minutes before. There wasn't much sauce under the cheese, maybe to avoid it getting too soggy. BUT, once you get to the sauce at the top...yum. It has a great sweet-ish flavor to it, and was worth working my way up. The cheese seemed better quality than other local places around here. I'd definitely go back and try the cheese pizza next time...and would probably order extra sauce. Once the pizza cooled and set, the slices were much more manageable, since they were thin slices, and much more enjoyable. Definitely different than other places around here, with a convenient location on the corner at a light. My only recommendation to the owner would be napkin holders on the table...especially when you need it for the grease on your chin!!

Not my kind of Pizza. Lacked taste and over priced.

Used to go in to the old My Place and was glad to see a new restaurant in here. Interior is a very nice face-lift from the previous owner, however, the booth seat I sat in was clearly an original and/or, I am eating too many Italian subs. To that point, the Italian sub was okay. So often, a sub is good or bad because of the bread. This bread was similar to Subway bread. Would have liked it to be more of a hoagie style bread. Service was quick and pleasant. Given the name, next time I'll opt for pizza and see if it gives me a reason to come back.

Pizza is sub par at best, would reccomend one of the other 5 joints in the general area. There is thin crust, and then there is falls apart as as you pick it up, the pizza cook needs a refresher on how to make a pie. Also for what I paid expected a bigger pie, it ended up being the same size as a frozen pizza at triple the cost. The service was great though, but seating area was loud, and there were only three other people. Overall I was hoping something close to the old My Place Pizza, what I got was a terrible, overpirced pizza, stay away

Ordered three pizzas to-go. Gluten free pizza was disgusting and probably under cooked. Was sick from it all night and I only had one slice because I was so disgusted. Not enough sauce either. My family members ordered regular pizza (not GF) and said the same thing-disgusting and not enough sauce. We threw away 3, barely-eaten pizza pies.

The service and cleanliness here is very sub-par. I'd comment on the food, but I'm still waiting...
